Ambassador Lyn Beazley

Mandurah Environment & Heritage Group is delighted to welcome Lyn Beazley as their association’s Ambassador.

Lyn was WA’s Chief Scientist from 2006 to 2013, advising the State Government on science, innovation, and technology. Her work included setting up a nationwide hotline for laboratory technicians in schools, working for healthier waterways across the state by establishing Dolphin Watch, and many other outstanding achievements.

“We are thrilled and honoured that Lyn Beazley has agreed to be our Ambassador” said MEHG Chairman Barry Small.

“Lyn’s knowledge, expertise and achievements are truly inspiring, and our volunteers are very grateful for her support of our association” he added.

Lyn is currently an Honorary Distinguished Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies at UWA and the Sir Walter Murdoch Distinguished Professor of Science at Murdoch Uni.

Among other awards, Lyn has been named an Officer of the Order of Australia for her contributions to medical science, a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering and Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science.
