Join us at Mandurah Museum for this fascinating presentation by Lisa Wray who will talk about the Peel Harvey Estuary Osprey Monitoring
Program & Adopt an Osprey Nest Project
.
Launched in early 2024, this exciting project aims to monitor and protect one of our r
egi
on’s most iconic birds – the osprey. These majestic
raptors soar above our waterways, dive for fish and nest along our coastlin
es.
Did you know the Peel-Harvey estuary system is home to the largest osprey population in Western Australia?
Come along to Mandurah Museum to:
Discover how many ospre
ys live in ou
r region
Learn where they nest and wh
en they breed
Find out how you can get invo

This season, we’re calling for volunteers to “adopt” a nesting site and report on the progress of a breeding
pair. With community support, our
aim is to track the number of active nests and monitor chick survival rates in the Mandurah area.
Come be part of this important local conservation effort – your observations could make a real differ

Join Dr Catherine Baudains for this free presentation at Mandurah Museum about one of our most charming local marsupials — the quenda

In this session, Dr Baudains will delve into the fascinating biology and behaviour of the quenda, shedding light on their role in th

Despite widespread habitat loss and urban development, these small but resilient creatures continue to survive — often in surprising pl
